Multop Financial Hobby Highlight
Eldon Abbott - Vintage Automobile Enthusiast
We would like to introduce you to Eldon Abbott. Eldon has enjoyed collecting and racing cars for the past 63 years. Eldon started collecting cars at the age of 17 years old, with his first car being a 1936 Ford Convertible. At the age of 21, Eldon decided to sell this car, and began building and racing racecars. Eldon has participated in many different car-races, including the Slo-Mo in Seattle, WA. After a racecar blew up his parent’s garage, Eldon decided it was time to change his hobby and pursue his love for antique cars. Eldon has loved collecting these rare, antique cars and sometimes even fixing them up in his free time. In 1994, Eldon took a small break and began working with his son, building and remodeling houses. Quickly, however, Eldon missed his antique cars and began collecting again. Today Eldon owns a 1969 British MGB as well as a 1984 Gatsby and a 1979 Gazelle. “I have liked cars ever since I was a little boy, and cars have been in my blood all these years.” Multop Financial is pleased to have been serving Eldon Abbott for the past year.

Dakota Creek Winery
We are happy to provide you with some information and photos from our featured client business this month: Dakota Creek Winery. Two of our clients, Ken and Jill Peck, established Dakota Creek Winery in the summer of 2005, specializing in premium wines made with handpicked grapes from premier vineyards in the Yakima Valley, Wahluke Slope, Rattlesnake Hills, and Columbia Valley appellations of eastern Washington.
Dakota Creek Winery’s goal is to provide affordable artisan wines to residents in Western Washington. Their current production of wines include a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Dessert Riesling, a special blend titled Firefighter Red, and Jill’s own blend titled Jill’s Blend. To see a detailed description of these wines, you can visit their website at www.dakotacreekwinery.com
When asked what the winery’s philosophy is, Ken explains “People don’t come to the winery just for the wine, they come for the experience and this is what we love.” While at Dakota Creek Winery, customers & wine tasters alike can view their environmentally friendly cellaring cave. Ken informs clients that it is covered with soil and bark to maintain a perfect 45-65 degrees without any heating or air-conditioning.
Recently, Ken & Jill hosted an event titled Art at the Winery. This event featured more than 50 local artists displaying their unique art for sale, sample artisan wine from their current production of wines (see list above), live music and gourmet foods, as well as tours of the winery itself and its cellaring cave.
Ken & Jill Peck have been Multop Financial clients for 2 years, and we are happy to continue working with them.
If you have any questions about the winery, wines available & purchase information, please visit Dakota Creek Winery’s website at http://www.dakotacreekwinery.com.

Yellow Fin Adventure
Two members of our team here at Multop Financial would like to let you know about their recent trip to Cabo and the amazing Yellow-Fin tuna recipe they brought back!
Aretha and Tyler traveled to San Jose Del Cabo with the Wickersham’s, clients of Multop Financial, who are business owners and entrepreneurs in the Seattle area. While there on vacation, Tyler, Aretha and the Wickersham’s went to a town named Cerritos, where they found a beautiful beach for swimming and fishing.
While in Cabo, the party of four joined the crew from Gueritas Sport Fishing and set sea to catch some Yellow Fin. While fishing for the day, they came about a pod of literally 3-4 thousand dolphins that were jumping out of the water. “This was an absolutely amazing site!” Tyler says. “Dolphins and Tuna work together to eat bait fish, so we changed our lures to be more suitable for tuna instead of marlin. All in all we caught 22 yellow fin tuna, ranging from 15 – 35 pounds, which we brought home for personal consumption.” Tyler makes note that these dolphins did not go after the tuna lures they used while fishing.
Tyler explains, “They are too smart and can tell the lures are not real fish. Even with all the fish we caught, we never had even a nibble from a dolphin.” The day fishing trip was 8 hours long and was “fantastic!” according to Tyler. “I would recommend using this boat if anyone is interested.”(Click here for website)
Tyler has provided the office and now you, with his delicious Yellow-Fin recipe!
